Image by iamimp: www.flickr.comAustralia is a lucky country. We have one of the world’s healthiest democracies and, while there is always room for improvement, Australian governments are committed to upholding our human rights. Yet, not all countries protect their citizens in this way, and so sometimes we feel compelled to bridge the cultural gap and advocate for human rights overseas.

A personal reflection

Toby Adhityas Keva

Image: www.morguefile.comIt is actually quite complicated for me to talk about male roles in Indonesia. My father died when I was six years old. I was then raised by my mother who has never remarried. Therefore, I lost my most significant male role model in my early years.
