Lent Event begins with a dream in the heart of God: to seek and save whatever is lost and to restore whatever is broken. 
The people of God have always moved. They have been pilgrims, missionaries, holy fools, called by the Spirit of God to go, unable to stay still, impatient being in one place.
The Jesus Revolution was around when I first met Jesus. We talked of peace and marched on some stuff. We formed community houses and changed worship, set up coffee shops and lived more simply. It changed me, but most others just graduated and moved on to their mortgages.
Something is wrong when people think talking about our faith life means being a space invader. Christianity sends people scurrying for cover wherever the expectation is that we ask complete strangers if they are saved. One of the major blocks to that kind of evangelising is love...
Jesus preached the message of "the kingdom of God" not to the rich, but to the poor. He invited his disciples to leave behind the secular values of family, security and social location. Was he wrong?
